'K 발레'의 위상' 강미선 주연의 '돈키호테' 10월 6일 개막 [유니버설발레단]

[KtN 신미희기자] 유니버설발레단이 서울 예술의전당 오페라극장에서 10월 6일부터 8일까지 발레 '돈키호테'를 선보인다.

스페인 극작가 세르반테스의 원작을 바탕으로 한 발레 '돈키호테'는 1869년 러시아 볼쇼이 극장에서 세계 초연 이후, 지난 2021년 예술경영지원센터 공연예술통합전산망의 무용부문 매출 2위를 차지했다.

발레 '돈키호테'는 마리우스 프티파와 알렉산더 고르스키가 안무한 작품으로 알려져 있다.

'돈키호테'는 선술집 딸 키트리와 이발사 바질의 사랑 이야기에 중점을 두며, 돈키호테는 그들의 사랑을 도와주는 역할로 등장한다.

유니버설발레단은 1997년 이 작품을 초연하여 2015년에는 일본에서도 공연했다.
